Yin yoga moves into yoga retreats of yoga holidays

A soft new version of yoga is subtly increasing in popularity in yoga retreats and on yoga holidays.

A Taoist originated yin exercise focuses the ligaments, connective tissues, joints and synovial fluid.

From London to Tokyo, Yin Yoga is now being studied and practiced in studios, in yoga retreats and whilst on yoga holidays.

The influence of "yang” yoga popular in the Western world have left a opening for additional meditative stretches.

Yin yoga is an ancient technique, a revisit to more meditative yoga. Slow styles – e.g. dru yoga – exist, helping to benefit meditation.

However those going on yoga holidays for yoga retreats are attracted to yin yoga, because it has a focus on both spiritual and physical wellbeing.

Yin yoga is dependent on many positions that, on initial observation, look easy. Many of the core poses center on the lower part of the body. The challenge centres on the amount of time the positions are held.

Each position is maintained from 3 to 30 minutes. This presents a meditative and stress relieving solution that helps students study how to concentrate on the moment thus dropping tension, worry and stress.

It is essential to keep in mind that everybody needs both yin and yang. Yin helps with flexibility and enhances our spiritually, Yang helps with power direction and strength construction. You require them both. These compare with the sun and the moon.
